The Zoo Chleby is located in the central part region of the Czech Republic , near Nymburk , in the village Chleby. It is a small zoo covering an area of 0.8 hectares. The Zoo Chleby was granted a license from the Ministry of Environment and became the member of the Association EARAZA. Step by step the zoo has been developing. There is a contact zoo, fast food refreshments and a souvenir shop now as well. The Zoo Chleby is focused on breeding of endangered species of birds. It breeds over 100 animals of 40 species, many rare plants, including 15 kinds of bamboo. The Zoo Chleby is open all year around. Dogs are not allowed..
