Yinxu

Yinxu is an ancient city and an important archaeological site in China . It is situated in the eastern part of the country, near the city Anyang. Yinxu is a witness of the golden age of early Chinese culture, crafts and science of the Chinese Bronze Age. Large number of royal tombs and palaces were found here, which had later served as a model for all Chinese architecture. Among the most important monuments we can mention the shrine of the royal ancestors with more than 80 houses. The inscriptions found on the bones prove the existence of one of the oldest types of fonts, ancient religious teachings and social systems. Yinxu has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2006.
