About Whistler

Whistler has about 10,000 inhabitants. It is located about 100 km north of the city Vancouver . The developing of Whistler city began in the early years of 20th century. The railway was constructed from Vancouver , and the city grew to its beauty. Whistler became worldwide known in the year of 2010 with the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Most of the skiing disciplines and some others as bobsledding took place in Whistler. The infrastructure of Whistler was improved, the sports facilities were modernized and an Olympic village was built in a nearby resort in the Cheakamus Valley.
