Wet Tropics of Queensland are the oldest tropical rain forests on Earth. They can be found in the northeast of Australia

. The area of Wet Tropics of Queensland includes 6 national parks - the Barron Gorge National Park, the Black Mountain (Kalkajaka) National Park, the Cedar Bay National Park, the Daintree National Park, the Girringun National Park and the Wooroonooran National Park. It also contains more than 700 smaller protected areas, including private properties. On the territory of Wet Tropics of Queensland we can find about 390 species of protected plants, at least 85 of which are endemic. The tropical rain forests of Wet Tropics of Queensland have been registered on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List since 1988. There is also a special tourist resort in the middle of the jungle, which is all built of wood.
