The museum is attractive for the Vietnamese as well as for foreigners. Student groups often arrive, too. Besides the weapons, the museum presents photographs of children who were born with birth defect caused by effects of chemical weapons. Another section of the museum shows experimental weapons, previously kept secret and strictly guarded. The expositions in the adjacent buildings show documents of war atrocities. The Vietnam War is displayed in the way as it really was, some of the photos and descriptions are really scary. At the courtyard you can see armored military vehicles, bombs and infantry weapons. There is an original guillotine that was really used by the French soldiers; and there are cages in which the members of the Viet Cong movement would be kept. War Museum Ho Chi Minh City is open all year around. Admission: 10. 000 VND (equivalent to 10 CZK - € 0.30) .
