Trấn Quốc Pagoda
Trấn Quốc Pagoda is located in Hanoi , the capital of Vietnam . It stands on a small island in West Lake, along the street Thanh Nien Road. Trấn Quốc Pagoda is the oldest Buddhist pagoda in Hanoi . Its construction started in 541, and it was finished in 545, during the reign of King Ly Nam De (544-548) . Initially, it was called Khai Quoc, and it stood on the bank of the river. During the reign of King Le Kinh Tong (1600 - 1618) , Trấn Quốc Pagoda was moved to the island. Inside the pagoda, visitors can see many valuable statues. The existing building was completely restored, including the triple gate.
