The Taman Negara National Park is a protected area which spreads over three states of Malaysia
- Kuala Lumpur
, Kelantan and Terengganu. The largest part of the protected system is the Taman Negara Pahang (2477 km2
) , followed by the Taman Negara Kelantan (1043 km2
) and the Taman Negara Terengganu (853 km2
) . The Taman Negara National Park was founded during 1938/1939. Its total area is 4343 km2
. The Taman Negara National Park protects several rare animal species - Indochinese tiger, Sumatran rhinoceros and Asian elephant. The Taman Negara Pahang park includes a cave system called Gua Telinga.
The starting point for the visit to the park is the city of Kuala Tembeling Kuala Tembeling .
