Tōdai-ji
Tōdai-ji is a Buddhist temple complex located in Japan , in the city of Nara , in Nara Prefecture. Inside Tōdai-ji, we can see the biggest wooden building in the world called Daibutsuden. This building provides shelter for a 15 m high bronze statue of Buddha from the 8th century. The gate of Tōdai-ji is 19 m high, and it was built in 1692, when it replaced the previous building destroyed by fire. more »
