Originally, there was originally a wooden lookout tower on the top of Stog Izerski. Due to its poor condition it was pulled down and a new technical tower was built instead.
The top of Stog Izerski is accessible by several marked trails. You can set out from the town Świeradów-Zdrój , Hala Izerska or Polana Izerska. From the Czech side you can start your hike from Mount Smrk , located about 2.5 km westwards. There is a tourist chalet Schronisko below Stog Izerski (at an altitude of 1060m) .
