About Stanley Park
The Stanley Park occupies an area of 404.9 hectares. It is bordered by an 8.8 km long waterfront which is often used by pedestrians, cyclists and skaters. Most of the park is covered with forest, in fact, with approximately a half a million trees . Some of them reach up to 76m high and are hundreds years old. There are 200 km of roads and pavements throughout the park. The park is under constant Vancouver Police surveillance.
Place to Relax and Explore
Every year, eight million of visitors come to the Stanley Park to relax or to explore the biological diversity of the park and the history of the American continent at the locality had been inhabited by first nations. In 1988 the Stanley Park became the national historic site.
The locality of the Stanley Park is often visited also due to the fact that there is the world-famous marine aquarium - the Vancouver Aquarium .
