Spittal an der Drau (in Slovene: Špital ob Dravi) is a sought tourist destination in

Klagenfurt. The town is mainly the winter destination but offers a lot of attractions for stays around the year. For example, its town centre,
Schloss Porcia, is ranked among the most important renaissance castles in Austria and it is the venue of annual festivals of classic comedies (Komödienspiele Porcia). The late Gothic Catholic parish church Mary's Annunciation, the Spittl (hospital) from which the city derived its name, and the village of Molzbichl, where you can find the remains of Carinthia's first monastery, are worth the attention, too.
