The Source of Nisa River is located in the northern part of the Czech Republic , in the area of the village Nová Ves nad Nisou, in the Jizera Mountains , approx. 3 km from the city Jablonec nad Nisou . The river Nisa begins here its approx. 250 km long journey to the Baltic Sea. In 1980, a stone monument with a plaque and sitting was built here. The Source of Nisa River is also the place where the Odra-Nisa biking trail begins. On this trail you can get even to the Baltic Sea. Today it is a frequent destination for tourists. Near the source stands the Lookout Tower Nisanka , which is also definitely worth a visiting.
