It was opened in 2002. It is famous for its maintained jumps, rails, boxes, a luxury ramp and a superpipe. The Half Pint Park is also worth visiting. Most of the jumps change during the winter season. Every night, the park is being modified, what means that some obstacles change every night. The superpipe is designed according to the standards of the World Cup. Snow Park NZ offers a ski and snowboard school. You will probably not be encouraged to learn skiing and snowboarding, although it is also possible. The school will rather teach you tricks, jumping on skis or snowboard. Various camps and competitions are organized here, as well. You will often meet here the world's best free-ride skiers and snowboarders. A restaurant, a bar and accommodation is also available. Snow Park NZ covers an area of 60 ha, and the snow is provided by 33 snow cannons. There is one chair lift that will take the visitors to the top. The season in Snow Park NZ runs from July to October..
