Skofja Loka Castle is found above the city Škofja. The basis of the castle was a dwelling tower. Step by step began the casle complex expand. The castle was built in 13th century. Eminent owners of the castle were Thurn and Lamberg families. In 1870 got a possession of the castle Sir Terpinc of Fužin and he left it few years later to Voršil sisters. They opened there a school. Nowadays is in the castle a museum with one of the biggest ethnographical collections.
