The Ski Resort Valberg and its pistes are located 1,000 - 2,100 m above sea. Local weather and snow conditions are influenced by the fact that the resort is very close to the coast, so towards the end of the winter season the slopes oriented to the south suffer from lack of snow. Anyway, during the main season the snow conditions in the Ski Resort Valberg are very good. The pistes are not very difficult and there are not many opportunities for adventurers and keen sportsmen - in fact, there is only one really challenging piste down from the top of Dreccia. The Ski Resort Valberg offers total 90 km of downhill slopes, of which 19 km are marked with blue, 55 km are red and 16 km are black. There are total 25 ski-lifts and 6 chair-lifts, with total capacity 20,000 persons per hour. Cross-country skiers can enjoy over 25 km of maintained cross-country skiing trails in Ski Resort Valberg and its surroundings.
Ski Resort Valberg is affordable, contrary to other ski regions. The prices for accommodation are acceptable, too. For example, a double room with breakfast costs €25 – €30 per person. A day skipass in the Ski Resort Valberg costs €24 (€108 for seven days) and there are reduced prices for children aged 6-12. The season in Ski Resort Valberg begins in December and ends in April, depending on the weather. If you plan your stay towards the end of the season, you should search for information about the snow conditions before you set off. There are ski schools and ski and snowboard rental shops. Another interesting leisure time activity in Ski Resort Valberg is horseback or sleigh riding. For more detailed information go to www.valberg.com.
