Skiing here is ideal particularly for families with children. Mountains are known for beautiful nature, nice and easy ski slopes and quality snow covers during the skiing season. There are 80 km of slopes in the area of Ski Resort Civetta in which 30 km are blue, 44 km red and only 6 km are black. Ski slopes lay in the altitude from 1500 m to 2200 m. 26 ski tows or chair-lifts are in the complex with a total capacity of 33000 people per hour. Ski Resort Civetta offers also over 30 km of well maintained cross-country skiing trails..

Practical Information

The season in the Ski Resort Civetta begins on 4th December and lasts until 3rd April. The ski-pass costs 31 EUR/day or 164 EUR/week. A special ski-pass Dolomity Superski allows skiing on a total of 1220 km of ski slopes. Chair-lifts transport skiers from Valzoldana, Alleghe, Selva di Cadore and Palafavera to higher locations. Beginners will find nice and moderate slopes, also suitable for families with children; Valgranda, 3 km long, is very popular and goes through a forest above the Zoldo Resort. The Foppe slope near the lift Pecol is great for demanding and skilled skiers. It is 1,5 km long and even skiing stars train there, too.

Other activities

Ice skating is possible in the winter time on the Monte Lake near Alleghe Resort. One of the curiosities of the Ski Resort Civetta is an ice bar where over a hundred of cooled spirits are served. It is located at the Fertazza Plateau.
