Serranía de Macuira

Serranía de Macuira is a mountain range in the north of Colombia . It is located about 10 km from the Caribbean coast. Serranía de Macuira covers an area of around 250 km². It is situated on the Guajira Peninsula in the La Guajira Department. Serranía de Macuira lies in the middle of the La Guajira Desert, at an altitude of 864 m above sea level. The highest mountains are Cerro Paluou (864 m) , Cerro de Jibome (753 m) and others.
