Sena are ruins of an ancient Jewish town in Yemen. It is located in the east of Hadhramaut valley approximately 400km far from the town Al Mukalla in the province of Hadhramaut, Yemen. Around 500 BC, Sena was a thriving Jewish town. It is likely a legendary city where Jews settled after the fall of Babylon. According to some archaeological studies the town Sena should have been the place where the Ark of the Covenant was kept for some time. Genetic studies of the local Lemba tribe have proved that they are direct descendants of the Israelites.
