Quiapo Church, officially called Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, is a church in the Philippines . The baroque building can be found in Manila , in the Quip county. Quiapo Church is an important religious center of the country. Originally, it was built in the 1586. Unfortunately, in 1639 the church burned down, and after an expensive reconstruction, it was destroyed again by an earthquake in 1863. The current building of Quiapo Church was built in 1899. In the church we can see the famous Black Nazarene, the black statue of Jesus Christ carrying the Cross. Quiapo Church is opened for the public.
