The creation of the rock city started during the Mesozoic era, as a result of movements of tectonic plates of Europe and Africa. The entire complex is accessible for tourists, but their movement is restricted only to the marked trails. The Prachov Rocks offer two trails: one is 1.5 km long, while the other is 5.5 km long. You will pass a few beautiful lookouts on your way..
Lookouts
Some rocks reaches the height of dozens of metres, that is why the Prachov Rocks became a sought-after centre for rock climbers. From the tops of the rocks and the lookout points, wonderful views of the region's landmarks are opening before the eyes of the visitors, for example: Trosky Castle and Valdštejn Castle . During winter are the Prachov Rocks officially closed. There is no admission fee, nevertheless the entry to the area is at your own risk.
