The Polish Army Museum was founded in 1920. At present, it presents the development of the Polish Army during the last 1,000 years. It displays the military history of Poland from the 10th century until the Second World War. The museum is operated by the Polish armed forces. In the open-air premises, armored vehicles and aircraft is installed. Popular exhibits include a Polish military helmet from the 10th century, old knigh armor, ancient oriental weapons or the Panzer M-3 Halftrack.
Polish Army Museum is open every day except Monday and Tuesday (outdoor exhibition is accessible every day) . On Wednesdays it is open from 10 am to 5 pm. From Thursday to Sunday it is open from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission: 10 PLN for adults and 5 PLN for children. Group admission is 4 PLN. The museum is accessible by bus No. 111, 117, 158, 507, 517 and 521 or by tram 7, 8, 9, 22, 24, 25 and 43.
