The Arctic Circle is bordered at 66°33' of north latitude. If you cross this imaginary line at Polarsirkelsenteret, you can then buy various souvenirs, for example, a certificate that reads you have crossed the Arctic Circle. It costs about 50 NOK. The resort presents an exhibition of wildlife, including polar bears. There is an interesting audiovisual presentation about the life around the Arctic Circle. Not far from the resort, there is a memorial dedicated to Slavic laborers who were forced to build the Arctic Highway by the Nazis during the Second World War.
Polarsirkelsenteret is open from 1 May to 15 September. In the canteen, you can taste traditional Norwegian meals. You can book a dinner for a group, too. Travelers can use high quality background. If you send a postcard from the resort, it will be provided with a special stamp from the Arctic Circle.
