It is 11 km long, with beautiful fine white sand. You can go swimming from April to the end of October. However, most restaurants and bars are not opened until June- the start of the main season. The Poetto Beach also regularly hosts tournaments in beach football and volleyball. Various live music performances take place there as well. You can see many sailboats on the sea as prestigious international yacht races, such as the Vela Latina Mediterrane are organized there.
