Pilikuththuwa Raja Maha Vihara
Pilikuththuwa Raja Maha Vihara is a cave shrine in Sri Lanka . It can be seen in the western part of the country, about 30 km northeast of the city Colombo . There are katarans above the main entrance of Pilikuththuwa Raja Maha Vihara, and under them inscriptions in Brahma letters are engraved. The rulers of Sri Lanka are listed here. The temple of Pilikuththuwa Raja Maha Vihara is decorated with carved wooden panels, and the roof is supported by granite pillars. The hermitage caves are hidden in the maze of the jungle, among huge boulders.
