In 1994, the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora was registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was built between 1719-1722 in baroque style. The church stands on a hill called Zelená Hora (Green Hill) . It is a dominant feature of the region, as it is visible from the distant surroundings. The floor plan of the church is based on a circle, which is repeated several times, and on the number five. Number five is a reference to the five stars of John of Nepomuk. Five pointed chapels with a triangular floor plan and five oval chapels take turns along the periphery of the church. The circular chapels inside the church are connected with the central cylindrical space by pointed arches. The centre of the church is vaulted with a dome with lunettes. The church is treasuring the tongue of St. John of Nepomuk. A ringlet of ambits was built around the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora. This ringlet incorporates five pentagonal chapels and five gates. The Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora was damaged by a fire in the late 18th century, fortunately it was reconstructed..
