Phimeanakas, also called Vimeanakas is a pyramidal Hindu temple. It is situated in Angkor , in Cambodia . Phimeanakas was established at the end of the 10th century, during the reign of King Rajendravarmana. This rectangular pyramid is 35 m long and 28 m wide. Phimeanakas was crowned with a gold tower. With its height of 40 m, it is the highest royal temple in the area. Phimeanakas is a three-level sandstone building with a preserved panoramic view terrace. It is surrounded by a 5 m high wall. In the garden we can see two ponds for ritual ablutions.
