The city is dominated by a large open square Piazza IV. Novembre. There is a medieval fountain Fontana Maggiore in the middle of the square. Other attractions include the Town Hall (Palazzo dei Priori) , the church of San Severo, the Renaissance fortress Rocca Paolina from 1540 - 1543, the San Lorezo Cathedral from the late 16th century, the Basilica of San Domenico from the 14th - 15 century, the church of Sant'Angelo from the 6th century, and many other sacral monuments.
