A water power plant was built on the dam, as well. At the same time, the Pastviny Reservoir started to be used for recreational purposes, too. The dam is bricked, it is 43 m high and 193 m long. The reservoir is about 7 km long, and it covers an area of 110 ha. During the summer, the Pastviny Reservoir is used for bathing, water sports and fishing. The surroundings of the reservoir is suitable for hiking and biking, as there are numerous marked hiking trails..
