Ojcow National Park is the smallest national park in Poland . It is located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, north of the city Kraków . Ojcow National Park - Ojcow National Park was established in 1956. It occupies an area of approximately 22 km2. The park was founded in order to protect southern parts of the Krakow-Częstochow Karst Area with valleys of the rivers Prądnik and Sąspówka. more »

Due karst activities in this area many caves, gorges, hollows and rock formations had been formed - there are over 400 caves in this region. The most famous rock formation is called Maczuga Herculesa. Ojcow National Park is mostly covered with mixed forests. It is the habitat of over 3,300 insect species. .
