Narach Lake

Narach Lake (also called Naroch or Narutis) is the largest lake in Belarus . It is located in the northeasterm part of the country, several dozen kilometers from the border with Lithuania . The lake is surrounded by pine forests and it is considered to be a major holiday resort in Belarus. Narach Lake is a glacial lake. There are several other lakes in the surroundings. The lake occupies nearly 80 km2 and its maximum depth reaches about 25 meters. Narach Lake is a very popular destination for fishermen. Due to the pleasant climate, there is a sanatorium, and also the best -known Belarussian children health camp.
