The Mumlava Waterfalls can be found in the northern part of the Czech Republic , on the Mumlava River, less than a kilometre north of the well-known winter resort Harrachov . The Mumlava Waterfalls are made up of 12 m high gradually organized rock blocks. Basic Information - The riverbed is composed of granite rocks. more »

In the lower part of the Mumlava Valley, created by a Quarternary glacier, we can see the most watery waterfall of the Giant Mountains with a height of 8 m. At its base, there are two giant basins carved into the granite. Three more basins can be found at the top of the waterfall. These basins are called Devil's Eyes. They were created by smoothing erosion caused by the movement of pebbles and water. Near the Mumlava Waterfalls are large depressions, brought about by the mining activities of the former ore mine Harrachov. The ore is not being mined any more. On the way to the Mumlava Waterfalls, you can visit the Mining Museum , which is opened throughout the year..
