Mt. Kenya National Park

Mt. Kenya National Park is a protected area and the UNESCO Site in Kenya . It is situated in the central part of the country around the second highest mountain, Mount Kenya (5 199 m) . The Mt. Kenya National Park occupies an area of 715 km2. It was established in 1949. It consists of mostly mountainous landscape. Most of the park is situated at an altitude of 3000 m. You can see the evolution of Afro-alpine flora in this park. Mt. Kenya National Park has been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997.
