Mount McKinley, or rather Denali, is the highest mountain in the USA. It is located in North America
, Alaska, about 120km west of the village Cantwell
with a small airport. The word Denali means “Great” in the language of native Athabaskan tribe. Mount McKinley is 6194 m high. It is a part of the Denali National Park. On the slopes of Mount McKinley, there are five major glaciers: the Peters Glacier, Muldrow Glacier, Traleika Glacier, Ruth Glacier and Kahiltna Glacier. The mountain was named after the U.S. President William McKinley (1843-1901) in 1897.
