The Ming Dynasty Tombs consist of four groups of tombs in four provinces of eastern China
. The place lies about 50 km northwest of the capital Beijing
. The Ming Dynasty Tombs are natural formations shaped by people in accordance with the principles of a traditional Chinese learning - geomancy. It deals with the relationship between man and his living space in time. The local buildings shows the traditional architecture, decoration and the power of feudal rulers of China. The Ming Dynasty Tombs have been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000. Other tombs of these dynasties were added to the UNESCO in 2003 and 2004.
