|Lednice Liechtenstein Castle||Castles||30km|
In the 16th century, the fortress was rebuilt and into the Renaissance Milotice Castle. Further adjustments were done during the 17th and the 18th centuries, when Milotice Castle was rebuilt in baroque style.
The last owner of Milotice Castle was JUDr. Ladislav Seilern. In 1941, he voluntarily claimed German nationality, therefore following the Beneš Decrees, his property was confiscated after the war. The family had to leave the castle. In the current exhibition you can see how the last owners of the Seilern-Aspang family lived.
Milotice Castle is surrounded by a beautiful baroque garden. The chateau hosts many cultural events, including folklore and folk concerts, throughout the year. The castle can hold your wedding ceremony, too. In April and October is Milotice Castle accessible to the public only during weekends, but from May to September it is opened every day except Mondays.
