The tomb dates back to the 3rd century BC. Here we can see the world-wide famous Terracotta Army, which is considered the eighth wonder of the world. It is composed of 500 clay warriors, 18 combat vehicles and over a hundred clay horses guarding the tomb of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang. The Terracotta Army was discovered by accident in March 1974, when local farmers troubled by drought decided to dig a well. Instead of finding water, they have found several statues of horses and soldiers. Each soldier has a different expression on his face. The Mausoleum of Chin Shi Huang has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1987..
