Makowski Beskids is one of the very popular regions in the south part of Poland. With an area of 1842 km2 (1152mi2) and many historical monuments, museums and nature sites, is is a very popular tourist region. It is definitely worth seeing the most exciting places e. g. Babia hora (city Brody) , which is included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In winter you can have a lot of fun in ski centres, such as Zawoja. The largest cities are Sucha Beskidzka (9,600) , Sułkowice (6,400) and Maków Podhalański (5,700) .
