. It is situated in the south-eastern part of the country, at the border with the Slovak Republic
Magura National Park
Magura National Park was established in 1995. It covers an area of about 195 km2. The park is a part of the Carpathian Arc. It is covered with dense woods. It is characteristic with many hills. There is the Wisloka River which creates picturesque meanders and oxbow lakes. Magura National Park is known for wild animals - such as bear, wolf and lynx. The highest summit of the park is the top Wątkowa - 847 m above sea level.
Magura National Park offers tourists nine hiking trails, 5 cycling routes and one horse riding trail.
