Madera is a mountainous town in Mexico . It is situated in the north-western part of the state Chihuahua, about 270 km from the city Chihuahua . The town Madera was founded in 1906. Interesting facts
The word "madera" means wood in Spanish. There are many caves and parks with archaeological sites from the pre-Columbian era in the city's surroundings. The best-known archaeological findings in the area are 40 Indian houses. They are quite similar to the ruins of the buildings of the Anasazi tribe.
