, near the city of Mladá Boleslav
, in the Czech Republic
. The Loreta in Kosmonosy was built between the years 1702-1708, according to the plans of the Italian architect, Giovanni Alliprandi. The Loreta in Kosmonosy was built by count Hermann Czernin von Chudenitz. In the past, the wooden church of St. Martin used to stand here. The inspiration for this building was a loreta in the Italian town of Loreto. It was the Shrine of the Holy House - a place of pilgrimage. The house was imported into the city of Loreto in the 13 century. The interior of the Loreta in Kosmonosy is decorated by imitations of the original frescoes from the Italian Loreto. On the eastern side of the Loreta in Kosmonosy stands the baroque chapel of St. Martin. It has an oval shape, and it is covered with a Byzantine style cupola. Below the chapel is a crypt. North of the Loreta in Kosmonosy is a four-storey bell tower. The Loreta in Kosmonosy is being constantly repaired, nevertheless it is accessible.
