Logrono is a pleasing city, suitable for lovers of good food and wine. It is actually an important Spanish gastronomy center. Apart from that Logrono offers many interesting sights. Logrono originated from a settlement established by the Romans. Since the 10th century the city belonged to the kings of Castile and Navarre. In 1609-1610 the witch tribunal had its seat there.
Logrono is easily accessible. It is actually situated by the highway and railway connecting Catalonia and Aragon with the Basque Country and the Atlantic coast. The city is connected with highways A-12 and AP-68 (E-804) . The closest airport is Logrono-Agoncillo and it is situated a couple of kilometers east of the city.
