It covers an area of approximately 19,000 km ². It was opened on 1st January 1926. Safaris are being organized there, so visitors can admire local African fauna and flora. More than 33 species of amphibians, about a hundred species of reptiles, 45 species of fish, 450 species of birds and more than 120 species of mammals live there. The park is characteristic with its bushy prairies, savannas, deciduous forests and low mountains. Local baobab trees are famous.
