Krimml Museum of Water is recommendable for children because there are dozens of working models that show how water works. For example, there is a functional demonstration of the water whirl, a spiral which is angled at 45 degrees and draws water up. To entertain children, there are several children attractions, such as a water scarecrow that squirts water out of its hands. It is installed directly in the pond at the entrance to the park. Children can make changes in the direction of the scarecrow by pressing the right buttons - activating the shower to spray the visitors moving around the park. Other examples of exhibits include a working water mill.
There is a small exposition in the Krimml Museum of Water, dedicated to the history of the Krimml waterfalls. Admission for adults is 3EUR.
Not far from the Krimml Museum of Water you can find the starting point of the green Tauern cycling trail which is directed across the Tauern area, along the river that feeds the Krimml waterfalls, through popular resorts Kaprun and Zell am See , and then towards Salzburg . The trail is not difficult in the direction from Krimml waterfalls and it is suitable for families with children.
