Krakatoa

Krakatoa is world known volcano. It is located at Anak Krakatau island in Sund channel between Java and Sumatra islands. Krakatoa is 813m high. The biggest eruption was 27. August 1883. After large eruption original volcano was destroyed. As a result of Krakatoa eruption, 36000 people dies, 165 cities and villages was completely destroyed and another 132 was highly damaged. 20km2 of volcano ash entered an atmosphere and for few another years resulted in highly red sunsets. Average world temperatue fell down about 1,2 °C. After tens of years, a new volcano started to form into current size.
