The Košice Zoo is a zoological garden in Slovakia . It is situated in Košice , in the district of Kavečany , at 31 Široká Street. The Košice Zoo boasts successful breeding of the Hucul pony, which belongs to endangered species. About the ZOO - The ZOO was founded in 1979. But we can also find representatives from other continents – Australia , America as well as Africa . The Košice Zoo keeps very rare species, including the brown bear, the Eurasian lynx and the Chapman´s zebra. Visitors of the ZOO can also admire exotic kinds of birds, various species of turtles, snakes and other reptiles. The complex offers a restaurant, a buffet and a children´s playground..
