Kaštel Ečka is a monumental neoclassical castle in the village of Ečka . It stands 8 km from the town Zrenjanin , in Serbia . Kaštel Ečka originally served as a fortress - it was built in 1820 on the land of Lazar Agoston. The castle is surrounded by a park with a small waterworks and a small fort. Near the castle stands the Catholic Church of Lazar Lukač from 1864. The interior is decorated with images of Christ created by the painter Joseph Geugner, while the icons are the works of the Dutch painter Van Der Venne.
