Jablonec Reservoir is called also Mšenská dam or dam in the wedge of mountains.It is located in the city Jablonec nad Nisou in Czech republic.It was originally built for the purpose of protection (agains floods) and water management.At first,the locals were against its building, but they are glad today,that it is here and that in summer they can enjoy swimming,sports and relaxation,and skating in winter.Its building was begun in the year 1906 and it was filled in the year 1910.Jablonec Reservoir lies on the river Lužická Nisa.Its water area reaches 41 ha.The dam embankment is 16 m tall and 426 m long.It lies 513 m over the sea level. more » Edit »
