Huanglong is a protected reserve in China
. It is situated in the central part of the country, in the northwest of the Chinese province of Sichuan
, in the southern part of the Minshan mountain range. The Huanglong nature reserve is important mainly for its diversity of ecosystems: we can find here forests, karst forms and even hot springs. It is the natural habitat of many endangered animal and plant species. The giant pandas are the rarest animals living here. The most famous part of Huanglong is an area with natural calcium pools. Huanglong has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992.
