The historical center of the village Hollókö includes 65 buildings built around a wooden church, which was formerly used as a granary but was consecrated in 1889. The houses, painted with white lime, have wooden verandas and old roof frames. The nowadays appearance of the houses in Hollókö comes from 1909, when they were reconstructed after a fire. There are museum exhibitions in some of them, e.g. the post museum, the rural museum and the permanent natural scientific exhibition. The Castle Hollókö towers above the village. Hollókö became a World Heritage Site UNESCO in 1987..
