Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower was opened on January 10, 2010 on the occasion of the Asian Games 2010. This unique building offers its visitors many interesting attractions and activities. The total height of Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower, up to the end of the antenna, is 610 m. The tower has 37 floors, two of them are underground. Transportation in the building is provided by 5 lifts.
The biggest world-wide rarity of Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower is the Ferris wheel built on the roof at the height of 454 m. This makes it the highest Ferris Wheel in the world. Its cabins look like crystal balls. There are 16 of them, and one turn lasts 20-40 minutes. Each cabin can hold 6 people.
An interesting activity worth trying is Base jumping. It is an adrenaline sport, where you can jump with a parachute from the tower. At a height of 454 m is a large observation deck. Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower also has a revolving restaurant, an observatory, a game room with computer games, exhibition spaces, conference rooms, shops and a 4 D cinema. The TV tower in Guangzhou can receive up to 10,000 tourists a day. At the foot of the tower is an underground and a bus station.
